Association for Scottish Literary Studies is an educational charity that aims to promote the study, teaching and writing of Scottish literature, and to further the study of the languages of Scotland. They were looking for a fresh new website design and a content management system (CMS).
The Association for Scottish Literary Studies were suffering from a common complaint. They built a website many years ago, coded by hand and lovingly updated year after year by one person. The site contains fantastic references, resources and information for anyone studying or interested in Scottish Literature but it was literally bursting at the seems.
What ASLS needed was a smart new look to bring it up to date and an easy to use CMS to help keep everything in order. Introducing a CMS also meant that information could be pulled through to several different places on the website without having to manually recreate content over and over. This would save a great deal of time and make updates more efficient.
ASLS are currently transferring the content from their old system to the new one. The site should be live for the middle of August.
