We met Kate Henderson through our work with Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector.
Kate ran a website called Equality Network Forum which had a blog called Equality Updates. The website was really out of date and as is often the case with older sites, it was difficult to update.
Equality and human rights issues are very important to us here at Post Creative so when we found out that Kate needed some help to bring the projects website up to date we were excited to help.
As you can see from the old version of the site had a very rigid layout that didn’t allow for much content to be added of changed.
The site has now relaunched as Equality Updates.
Equality Updates is an information service for Glasgow. It is provided by Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector, works in partnership with Glasgow Equality Forum, and is funded by Glasgow City Council Integrated Grants Fund.
The site now has the following content features:
- A directory with contact details for member organisations
- A news area which covers funding and Job vacancy news as well as news updates on Equality issues.
- An event calendar showing up coming equality themed events
- Funding and Training resources
The new site remains colourful. It’s built with Wordpess making pages easy to add and edit. The site content is set against a white background making it more accessible and easier to read.
