Details
The Briggait, in Glasgow's Merchant City, houses Scotland's oldest collection of surviving market halls. It served as the city's fish market for over 100 years, was reincarnated briefly as a shopping centre during the1980s, but then lay empty and neglected for almost 20 years. In 2001 arts charity Wasps Artists' Studios set out to transform the much loved building into a new creative space for Glasgow, housing up to 100 visual artists and arts organisations.
Wasps commissioned Post Creative to design and build a site that would offer information about the project, showcase the latest designs and explain the history of the Briggait building. We worked in collaboration with Glasgow based developer Paul Hart to produce the site.
