Accessibility
At Post Creative we understand the importance of the accessibility of our websites and web resources. Ideally everyone should be able to access your websites, including those with visual, hearing or other physical impairments. Where appropriate we will aid users by providing assistive technologies.
Conformance
We strive to ensure both our own website and any site we build conforms to the guidelines laid out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and conform to the following specifications as a minimum:
- XHTM 1.0 Transitional
- CSS level 2 revision 1
- Compliance with priority 1 and 2 guidelines of W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
Features
The following is provided as standard:
- Logical and consistent layout and presentation
- Well formed and valid code with semantic structure
- Appropriate colours with suitable contrast
- The use of Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) to ensure the separation of content from presentation
- The use of alternative text to describe images and links
- Aim for graceful degradation in legacy and/or less capable browsers
- Clear, concise use of language with avoidance of technical jargon

- User controlled text resizing
- Access Keys for keyboard navigation
- Breadcrumb navigation
- High Contrast/High Visibility alternative stylesheets
